Apple’s iMessage app is one of most popular messaging apps out there. Altho only iOS users can use it and we don’t have any iMessage for android yet, the app comes with some of best chat and security features. iMessage always had end to end encryption, now Apple is making it even more secure by adding new feature.
The new feature they are adding is called iMessage Contact Key Verification, that will verify, and make sure your chat message are between you and only with the people they intend to talk to.
Users who have turned on iMessage Contact Key Verification will receive automatic alerts if an “exceptionally advanced adversary,” like and attack and if they are able to break your cloud server and
such as a state-sponsored attacker, were ever to succeed in breaching cloud servers and cyber criminals or attackers are on encrypted iMessage conversations.
Altho we know that you will be thinking that this can never happen to me, the new feature called iMessage Contact Key Verification is overkill for me and normal users, but Apple told our insider that is new feature is made for users like journalists, human rights activists, and members of government and spy who need extra protection, now if you are part of such group them this new feature will be really helpful.
Apple did not tell our insider all the details that how will Contact Key Verification will work but we do know that will be launch in 2023. As per our insider the users who will turn on the Contact Verification feature will be a code in person on FaceTime ( that us also end to end encrypted )
