Best triple camera mobile phones: What are your options?

Huawei P20 pro was the phone to have triple-camera setup. After that we have seen few more triple camera phones by other manufacturers including Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and more. We have shortlisted few on favorites.

1. Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Both have the same 3 camera on the back. The setup consists of a 16MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP standard lens, and a 12MP 2x telephoto lens, that gives you lot of versatility when taking pictures. You’ll find a single 10MP camera on the front of the S10, while its S10 plus with one more 8MP sensor.

Both the phones are almost same when it comes to specs. Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus powered by the Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 chipset , and come with wireless charging, and are IP68. Both S10 and S10 Plus have in display finger print scanner and also headphone jack. The major differences between both the phones are the display and battery sizes

2. Xiaomi Mi 9

The Xiaomi Mi 9 is first Chinese company to have triple camera setup. Xiaomi Mi 9 comes with 48MP f/1.75 main lens, a 12MP f/2.2 telephoto lens, and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra wide lens. The cameras are protected by sapphire glass so that it wont get scratches. Along with single 20MP front camera.

Xiaomi Mi 9 design has really thin Mi 9 has thin bezels, a notch, and back made of glass. It does not have headphone lack but supports wireless charging.

3. Huawei Mate 20 series

Huawei’s Mate 20 series had three different variant and all have triple camera: the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 X. Best one from all these variant is Mate 20 Pro. It has an 8MP 3x telephoto sensor with OIS and f/2.4 aperture, a 40MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and a 20MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 16mm focal length equivalent.

The Mate 20’s triple camera is a little different: comes with 12MP primary f/1.8 sensor, 16MP wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and 8MP telephoto sensor (f/2.4).

The Mate 20 X is more like a gamers phone and it has same camera as the Pro model and 7.21-inch display with 5,000 MAh battery. The device also has a new graphene based cooling system it is for the first time we see it on a smartphone. It gives cooling during long play sessions.

4. Sony Xperia 1

Sony went all in this year and announced Sony Xperia 1.
It comes withSnapdragon 855 chipset, a 6.5 inch 21:9 display and a triple-camera setup with a wide, standard and telephoto lens. All three cameras have 12MP sensors.

The flagship Xperia 1 come with side-mounted fingerprint scanner and modern design that makes it look good. It has 3300 MAh battery, which is not that great for the size of the phone. It packs 6GB of RAM, along with latest version of Android, and expandable storage.

5. Huawei P30

If you want something newer then Huawei Mate 20 you can choose Huawei P30.
Huawei P30 Pro give you 4 camera setup, but the standard p30 will costs a lot less and still is amazing smartphone.

Huawei P30 has 3 cameras: standard 40MP f/1.8, 8MP f/2.4 telephoto, and ultra wide with a 16MP sensor and an f/2.2 aperture. Altho it does not have impressive 5x optical periscope zoom of the P30 Pro, the P30’s 3x optical zoom lens is not that bad also.

Huawei P30 uses a specialized RYB filter array for its sensor, that captures detail than a normal RGB filter array because of which it gives us incredibly sharp images, especially via the 40MP sensor, where the phone will combine pixels to produce a detailed 10MP image by default.

6. OnePlus 7 Pro

Altho OnePlus 7 Pro can’t get close to the best in the industry, still OnePlus 7 Pro has really good camera, and the rest of the phone gives enough value to come up in this this list. OnePlus 7 Pro has outstanding build quality, design, and clean user interface.

OnePlus has three camera configuration on the back. You will get standard, wide angle and telephoto trio with various resolutions and apertures. The versatility three lenses afford you is amazing, and I can’t see myself going back to a two-lens setup, let alone a single lens.

As per us they are the best phones with a triple camera setup. We will keep updating the list as newer devices come to market.
