Facebook is recording audio from some voice chats on Messenger and paying contractors to listen and transcribe them.
Facebook has been collecting audio from users’ voice chats and paying hundreds of outside contractors to transcribe them.

The data that Facebook collects it send it contractors to transcribe the audio data to check the accuracy of its automated speech recognition systems.
Facebook said it has “paused” doing it, according to our insider.
