Gmail’s new Out Of Office feature alerts your sender before they even hit send.
Coming back to the office after a few days away usually means trawling through an email backlog.
A normal out of office response usually works but there’s a no doubt that you will have those oops, sorry, didn’t realise you were away messages from sender clogging up your inbox.
Google has added a new feature on Gmail and Hangouts Chat that plans to cut down on things like this.
When you’re not in your office, a yellow banner will appear at the bottom of any email or chat window informing your sender that you’re away.
They’ll even get notification before they even have a chance to hit the ‘Send’ button.
The feature is only currently only available for G Suite users it’s a paid version of google software. Will be rolling out for other users in coming few weeks.
