OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch date of its next smartphone OnePlus 7. There’s a good chance that the company might launch few more devices; including OnePlus 7 Pro. The new smartphones will be unveiled on 14th May in three different countries at the same time — including India.
The events are going to be held in three cities i.e. London, Bangalore and New York it will start at 8:15 PM IST. OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro has leaked in the past and here’s what we know so far.
few days ago Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus said that the next smartphone will have a huge focus on the the display of the device. This means that the OnePlus 7 or the OnePlus 7 Pro will have a high quality screen. The OnePlus 7 Pro will come with 90 Hz AMOLED display + QHD.
the OnePlus 7 will have a significant upgrade over the OnePlus 6 as it will ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and will be paired with 8 to 10 GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to have 12GB of RAM which may be a bit of an overkill. There’s also a good chance that the Pro variant will have a pop-up selfie camera and a full-view display as the company decides to ditch the notch design from the OnePlus 6T.
The OnePlus 7 is being touted as the company’s biggest launch ever and is being held in the Bangalore. Being the home-ground for the company we can expect the launch to be larger than any other OnePlus launch we’ve ever seen from the company. OnePlus was recently included in the top five premium brands list by Counterpoint Research and we can expect to see some sort of celebration at the event. This might be the biggest event by ONEPLUS company and they are even selling launch event vouchers for fans that will go on sale on 25th April on Oneplus.in . The company has given some hints about the launch in their official video which went live with the launch date announcement.
