Oppo unveiled waterfall screen that makes the phone look almost without bezel-less.
Oppo the Chinese smartphone company has revealed a new technology and they are calling it waterfall screen, and this might be the future of smart phones.
Waterfall screen is basically the side of the display is curving to next level. Think curves on Samsung galaxy S display but in waterfall screen take that curve to more extreme.
The curve is so extreme that you cant see the bezels on either side of the phone. You can only see the bezels when you see the phone from side, and where the bezel begins.
We have lot of questions about the water fall concept and we still dont have answers. For one, we are thinking about the experience of using a phone where the side edges are largely made of screen. We hope that the screen that spills over to the edge would be disabled so that you don’t make accidental touches and palm swipes while you’re simply holding the phone. Plus, it’s difficult to say about the location of front facing camera.
Otherwise, it’s unclear even if and when water fall screen will be a reality Oppo didn’t announce additional specs or a release date.
