Samsung announces Exynos 9825 all new chipset before launch of Galaxy Note.
All new Samsung’s Exynos chipsets is the core strengths in the mobile world, it gives Korean company control over the hardware in its ruling smartphones. Now, Samsung has announced a new flagship chipset the Exynos 9825.
Just like the name, Exynos 9825 has lot of common specs with the Exynos 9820 that we have in the Galaxy S10 series. Basically an octa-core CPU design with two custom Mongoose cores, two Cortex-A75 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores.
Some other features include Mali G76 MP12 GPU, with NPU for machine learning tasks, Cat-20 LTE-A Pro connectivity, supports LPDDR4X , UFS 3.0 storage compatibility, and 8K video recording.
One of huge difference in new and the older processor is its manufacturing process. The Exynos 9825. Manufacturing on 7nm EUV process, used Exynos 9820 SoC’s 8nm LPP finFET process.
Smaller manufacturing process mostly results in better battery life, but EUV is also the foundation for future manufacturing processes. The new EUV is a important product for Samsung’s chipset. Samsung told us that the two Cortex-A75 cores in the new chipset offer higher clock speeds. we can expect minor performance gains too.
The announcement of Exynos 9825 happened few hours before Samsung launches its Galaxy Note 10. The company uses Snapdragon chipsets for its flagship phones in the U.S. and several other markets, uses Exynos processors for global variants.
Lets see if Samsung any Galaxy Note 10 models will have the Exynos 9825. If the company planning to used Snapdragon 855 Plus but if that case it will be a minor upgrade over the Snapdragon 855, So bascally using Exynos 9825 is better option.
